Taking home four awards, platinum artist Marvin Sapp topped the list of 2011 Stellar winners with a bittersweet song dedicated to his wife Malinda, “Never Would Have Made It,” as well as other favorites - “The Best in Me” and “Thirsty.”
FACTS: 8 albums including the “Here I Am” release in 2010. A few notable singles are “Changed,” “Perfect Peace,” and “Never Would Have Made It,” and “The Best in Me,” which both hit No. 1 on the U.S. Gospel chart. His 2007 album “Thirsty” hit Gold on the RIAA certifications.
He has won numerous awards, including a 2008 and 2010 BET Award for Best Gospel Artist.
